Steps
1. Plan the date and location of your event
Set the date, time, and location of your first event. The date and time are what work best for you and others. The location can be in a community center, an outdoor community space, a school room, or any other space you can find
2. Gather the materials for your event
Decide what type of art you want to do. You can get painting supplies, colored pencils, markers, or anything that is used to make art. You can ask to get them through donations, buy it yourself, or ask us to ship some to you if you can't afford it.
3. Recruit volunteers to join
Spread the word! Tell others about the details of your first event and convince them why they should come and volunteer. You can ask your friends, use social media, or put up posters around your school. Resources you can use to spread the word are shown above.
4. Have fun at your event!
Have a fun time making art at your event. Take pictures of the event and count the number of people there to track your growth.
5. Continue hosting events
As you continue to host similar events, grow your volunteer count by starting a social media presence and doing fundraising events.
